HP TouchPad is an elegant and glossy tablet which now has become quite affordable. The HP TouchPad price has been slashed to £89 in the UK. The 16GB version will now be priced at £89 to £349. The 32GB version has been dropped to £115 from £429.
On to the specs:
HP TouchPad features shiny surface that packs huge 9.7 inches capacitive touchscreen with the pixel density of 768 x 1024 pixels. It is loaded with 1.3 mega pixel camera with 1280 x 1024 pixels for video callings. The device is equipped with HP webOS 3.0 running on 1.2 GHz Scorpion dual-core processor speed. It also includes 1 GB RAM along with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Limitations:
However, choosing a tablet with a vague OS is not a sound idea but Hp has assured with some support. The company said “HP is fully committed to the ongoing support and service of customers who purchased webOS devices”. Further the device does not contain 3G, GPRS, EDGE connectivity and there is no microSD card slot for memory expansion which means no HDMI or other gubbins. There is a USB port that enables transfering of music and files to and from the device.
