Samsung seems intent on being the dominant mobile phone manufacturer at all price points. It already impressed us this year by launching high end Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note and budget Galaxy fit, now company comes with another Android handset, the Galaxy Mini. In many ways Mini is very similar to Fit, to know the difference the phone requires a bit of information.

Although both phones have the same 240*320 resolution the Mini got slightly smaller screen of 3.1 inches than fit. It has 600MHz single core processor which is little bit slow by today’s standard. Android 2.2 comes installed on the phone, which means you can turn your phone into a 3G Hotspot using its Wi-Fi adaptor.

The 3.14 inch capacitive touchscreen is an ideal size for most activities. Its come with three pre-installed Home Screen and you can also add up to seven. The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is especially designed for the commitment challenged consumers, this is the quickest sequel phone we ever seen, the device is marketed mostly as pay as you go phone which offers full Android phone functionality at the affordable price of £200 with no contract required. The look of this new Samsung exhibit is very similar to Samsung Galaxy W with some changes in hardware to make this phone price tag attractive.

Design

In the design front the only thing new about this phone is that it omits the optical track pad and utilizes a plastic patterned design cover. The phone is compact with the dimensions of 115*60*11 mm and with 116g light enough to carry in your pockets. Unlike Samsung Exhibit 4G which had a flat bottom and rounded top the sequel literally flip the design on its head giving us a flat top and rounded bottom.

It has 3.7 inches TFT capacitive touch screen of 480*800 pixels with support for 16 millions colors and looks bright, clear and sharp. Below the screen of the device you will find typical Samsung Android phones four touch sensitive buttons for easy and fast navigation. Above the screen is the earpiece, the front facing camera unit, ambient light and proximity sensors. On the left side of the device, you will find volume rocker and on right side power/lock key. The Samsung Galaxy Y is a Smartphone designed for all audiences. It could be someone first Smartphone as it is cheaper among other high specs Android phones in the market. Galaxy Y is not full of latest tech but it keeps things neat and simple at very reasonable price. There’s a good package of pre-installed applications and a full connectivity set. The reasonable fast processor and the very recent Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread are a bit of surprise.

The styling of the handset is somewhat bland and conservative entirely made of plastic giving it a good look. The 3 inch capacitive touch screen has QVGA 240*320 resolution and multi-touch support. Below the display there is single hardware button: the Central Home key with two capacitive controls either side for Menu and Back. Samsung Galaxy W is the latest 3G smartphone announced by Samsung and is anticipated to come this year 2011.  It is a mid-range phone which will soon be available with O2 network. This is a lustrous handset enclosed within 115.5 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm chassis weighing about 109.9 g. Within the handset is a fast 1.4 GHz processor that is powered with the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread that makes applications run smoothly. The Galaxy W comes with 3.7 inches capacitive touch screen with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

Samsung Galaxy Note is a slim and lightweight device that basically lies somewhere between a small tablet and a huge smartphone. You can also say that it is an enlarged version of Samsung Galaxy S Android Smartphone that had arrived in mid 2010. This smartphone cum tablet features a 5.3 inches Super AMOLED touchscreen completed with a stylus called S Pen.

The device is 9.6 mm across that appears thicker that iPad and we are afraid whether it will adjust in your pocket. Looking at the rear part, we see a nice grille texture along with a brilliant 8 mega pixel camera with the pixel density of 3264×2448 pixels. The camera includes features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, LED flash and autofocus. Galaxy Note is even capable of recording videos at 1080p @30fps.

The device is installed with Android 2.3 Gingerbread along with a nippy dual-core processor at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. The device will arrive in two storage versions that are 16GB and 32 GB models.

Further the device is out on pre-order in the UK with an anticipated price of £600 which is even higher than Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1. However it is not confirmed yet.

The Samsung Galaxy R is looking quite impressive in terms of design with clean details around the casing. At 9.5mm thin, the handset feels ultra-slim and compact. The front panel is accompanied by 4.2-inch wide touchscreen display that comes with TouchWiz UI and multi-touch input method.

Being a high-end gadget, the Samsung Galaxy R comes with other advanced features such as Google applications, document viewer, voice memo/dial, Java MIDP 2.0 and organizer features to fulfill the desires of its users.
