
Sony Ericsson has finally announced its latest smartphone – the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray which is a the slim-down version of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc having almost identical features in smaller 3.3 inches screen. This also comes with the sleek and stylish body similar to Arc. The Xperia Ray will soon be arriving on O2 in the UK in September as according to the website “coming soon” page.
Display
Ray’s super sleek design features a 3.3 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with the resolution 480 x 854 pixels. The device is equipped with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine that produces the crispiest and clearest quality recordings. Other highlights of the screen include Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Multi-touch input method.
Camera
The device comes with a brilliant 8.1 mega pixel camera especially for those who loves to capture photos and likes to be tagged on Facebook. The camera comes with the pixel density of 3264×2448 pixels. Other camera features are LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization.
Software
This ultra portable device is powered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on 1 GHz processor which is quite efficient and speedy. Because of its super speed, user will enjoy uninterrupted internet access and networking throughout. It also comes with on-board memory of 1 GB (300 MB user available) and 512 MB RAM with memory expandable up to 32GB having 4GB already included.
Other Features
Apart from above spectacular features, the Xperia Ray also has connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS and Bluetooth for web browsing and data transfer.
