The World’s thinnest smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S2 is here. It was announced at Mobile World Congress on 13th February, 2011. The handset comes with almost all functions and features that are available within any handset. It is a very light weighted and a compact phone that weighing only 116 grams and measures dimensions with 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm. It is the successor version of their most critically acclaimed, Samsung Galaxy S phone. The handset runs on Google’s Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS and powered by Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-400MP GPU, Orion chipset. With this dual core processor, Tegra 2 supports for hardware acceleration for Flash and JavaScript within websites and have a significant performance advantage. The Samsung Galaxy S2 flaunts 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with an ability to display 16M colors. It is having a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels that comes with various sensors. It is incorporated with gorilla glass display that comes with TouchWiz v4.0 UI. The handset features 1GB of dedicated RAM with an internal storage of 16GB. It will also comes with a variant of 32GB internal memory. There is also an additional microSD card slot with a memory expansion of up to 32GB. The smartphone comes with various connectivity options such as microUSB, Bluetooth v3.0 + HS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi direct and Wi-Fi hotspot. It also comes with A-GPS support.
Those who loves photography and enjoys taking pictures, the Samsung Galaxy S2 boats an excellent 8MP rear facing camera that is having a brilliant resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It also includes features like auto focus, geo tagging, face detection and image stabilization. IT is also having an ability to record full HD videos 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. A front facing 2MP camera is also there that supports video calling as well. With image/video edit software, users can make funny pictures of their family and friends. The Galaxy S2 also comes with various useful features and apps like SNS integration, NFC support, TV-out (via MHL A/V link), Adobe Flash 10.1, Stereo FM radio, audio/video player and various games.
