Blackberry has announced its latest Blackberry Torch 9860 along with two other blackberry smartphones – the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9810 running on Blackberry OS7 this month.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 does not features QWERTY keypad like other BlackBerry smartphones. It comes with a 3.7 inches capacitive touchscreen with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels perfect for web-browsing and multi-media playback.
As mentioned above the handset is powered with Blackberry OS7 which is 40 percent much faster and efficient than OS6. Further the specifications are similar to Blackberry 9900 running on 1.2 GHz processor along with 768 MB RAM. The device also has the NFC suport (Near-Field-Communication) for electronic bill payments. The Torch 9860 comes with a 5 mega pixel camera having Geo-tagging, continuous auto-focus, image stabilization. The release date and prices for UK have not been revealed yet but the device will be offered with Vodafone first.
