Japanese tech titans Sony and Hitachi are working with Apple to produce 4 inch Retina display for new Apple iOS Smartphone. Apple Insider points out that Apple has a history of sharing manufacturing load with multiple partners, with the reports last week claiming that Sharp is building the LCD display for the third generation iPad model.
News are also coming that this new device is supposed to be 8mm thick to make way for the display more comparable in size to the likes of the Android powered rival, the Samsung Galaxy S2 right now.
If reports are true than it would be another step toward confirming that the next generation iPhone will have the 4 inch display many users hoped would arrive with the iPhone 4S. Apple is planning to launch this 4 inch retina display iPhone in the coming year.
